A great breakfast at Phillips Ave Diner with fellow coaster Jim and his wife, Lois. Great food and visit. John and I ran a quick errand and headed out a little later to make it warmer. Chamber’O’Commerce day.

A great fish and chips lunch with a great local root beer, 1919. Gib. Lazy after ride and lunch. Drive to Custer for week long coaster reunion tomorrow. Peace out Tres dog

From the interstate, I saw a sign for the Union Pacific Museum AND the Pottawattamie Squirrel Cage Jail.

The jail was encased in cement an 4 stories high. It was a jail for almost 100 years. They quarters for the jail keeper.
