A quick note on a vacant mental hospital outside of Fergus Falls. A rider went there yesterday and got these pictures. Like something out of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
We rode out of downtown to the Central Lakes State Trail.
The trail did have towns along the way to stop at.
The trail was nice and next to forest and water. It also had cracks in the pavement that jarred the front of your bike. It was also overcast with not much sunlight and sometimes chilly for this Floridian. We would take it!
There was a lot of farms. We decided to eat in Alexandria at Traveler’s Inn Restaurant, a classic. It was great! It also the home of Ole, the featured image. That’s how it was spelled.
The trail was really pretty in places after lunch.
The trail after lunch turned into Lake Wobegon Regional Trail. More tomorrow Peace out Tres dog.
Mr. G was a fan of Garrison Keillor and Lake Wobegon. I’m glad y’all didn’t have to get out your snowmobile gear! Be safe…ride on!
