It was a long day and the group was wondering about rain and wind. It was overcast and the wind the first forty miles was hitting us pretty good. There was some respite from the great trees on the side of the road. We went over the Pascagoula River in the Pascagoula River Wildlife Management Area.
It was pretty either house boats with motorboats tied to the house.
A good first SAG at a local bakery with GREAT cinnamon roll and double expresso. We rolled into Alabama at mile 35.
It was our 7 the state. We went farther for lunch after the second SAG stop at Dee’s pecan farm store. Lovely lady waiting on the riders. Got some fresh pecans. Left lunch after a non descript Mc D’s filet o fish to get to theDauphin Island Causeway.
It was windy and over we went.
Dauphin Island is very cool. Big birding Audobon sanctuary. Birders everywhere.
Needed rest day. Peace.
