We awoke in the middle of a the night with flashes of lightning and thunder. It was rising since the middle of the night. It was not clear what the next couple hours before and after breakfast would bring. We bundled up in all our Gore-Tex and starting a little after 8 to a fairly decent start with cloudy skies but no rain. It was a windy, cold misting day. We had a great first SAG coffee in Comfort, Texas.
There was 2950 of elevation and 3250 feet of descent in brutally windy conditions with fairly no respite. We went through the cute little town of Waring, Texas.
A quick and good lunch at Sisterdale. I was cold or hot or toasted after to the lunch break and just basically hung on for the rest of my day. Thanks to Rich and Amy for hanging out and getting me home.
Awesome, Tres. Just awesome.
that’s some really cool looking places and nice pics, and 59 miles seems more like what a normal person should ride (maybe skipping the elevations)
so envious
Cool “small town” pictures. Keep safe.
