The ride today was a change that allowed us to go through the wildlife refuge due to its cancellation due to weather a couple of days ago. A big bridge out of Sand Point Park. The gang up top.
Don’t you know NASA was looking for me.
It was another strong headwind into the refuge but it was beautiful.
The first rest stop in the refuge brought us to here. Note the big, deep blue sky.
Another fellow coastie from 2010, Joanne
We headed back out into the wind.
We finally got to turn out of the wind and headed for the rest stop at Scottsmoor Park.
We were reunited with the bike trail we had been on the other day only further north. It was great.
We were to do a small loop in Chain of Lakes but lunch called at Dixie Crossings, clam chowder and rock shrimp. Oh, Key lime pie.
Hard to believe 34 miles tomorrow and Bike Florida is over. Rich and Chrysa made my week so special. The two on the far left. Always thankful for all my great friends and family. Peace out. Tres
Glad you had a good trip. I’m sure you will be in good shape to help Mariella win her big race.
I look forward to seeing you on the politely trail.
